Civil or Structural Engineer in Telecommunications
KGI has an immediate opening for a Civil or Structural Engineer in Telecommunications. The Civil or Structural Engineer in Telecommunications position is available to persons with three or more years' experience in commercial telecom site design and permitting.

Civil or Structural Engineer in Telecommunications roles, responsibilities and requirements include
▪ Perform site visits and gather pertinent information for the design and construction of tower sites
▪ Prepare lease exhibits, zoning drawings and construction drawings using AutoCAD®
▪ Knowledge of construction standards for tower sites is a plus, including raw land, collocation, rooftops, water tanks, etc.
▪ Design antenna mounts per existing and proposed tower structures and load restrictions
▪ Prepare design calculations for all facets of tower site civil design, including raw land, collocation, rooftops, water tanks, etc.
▪ Investigate permitting and zoning requirements for site construction and wireless equipment installations
▪ Prepare permitting application packages
▪ Participate in meetings with project managers
▪ Ability to design foundations for generators and telecom shelters; structural engineering experience is a plus
▪ Coordinate with site acquisition consultants, RF engineers and related parties

Advanced organizational skills are required. Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural or architectural engineering is also required. Design Engineer
KGI has an immediate opening for a design engineer. This position is available to candidates who are a registered Engineer in Training (EIT) through the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).

Design Engineer roles, responsibilities and requirements include
▪ Perform site visits and complete architectural and engineering checklists for tower sites
▪ Under the supervision of Director of Engineering, prepare lease exhibits, site plans, zoning and construction drawings
▪ Provide engineering and related services detailing the installation of equipment for raw land, collocation, rooftops, water tanks, etc.
▪ Design tower construction and permitting drawings
▪ Coordinate with site acquisition consultants, RF engineers and related parties
▪ Travel within your geographic area, when required
▪ Proficiency in AutoCAD® is required

Advanced organizational skills are required. Structural engineering is a plus. Engineering CAD Technician
KGI has an immediate opening for an Engineering CAD Technician in our Austin, Texas corporate office. The Engineering CAD Technician position is available to persons with a minimum of 2 years experience in AutoCAD® . The Engineering CAD Technician, under engineer supervision, develops construction drawings for new cell sites and modifications to existing telecommunications facilities utilizing AutoCAD® software.

Engineering CAD Technician roles, responsibilities and requirements include
▪ Prepare lease exhibits, site plans, permitting/zoning drawings, and construction drawings. This work includes creating templates for new projects as well as implementing client revisions as may be required throughout the project.
▪ Construction/permitting drawings may include the following items, as well as any additional information required by client:
- Title page
- Overall and detailed site layout plans
- Transport design
- Tower Elevation Drawings
- Antenna and cable locations
- Equipment and Construction details (including shelter details)
- Electrical plan
- Grounding plan
- Construction notes
- Details as required by client or the local jurisdiction
- When required, equipment locations shown as a separate CAD layer
- Prepare separate lease exhibits showing the tower elevation plan as well as the site layout when needed
▪ Must be proficient in AutoCAD® .
- KGI currently implements AutoCAD version 2015
- Must be familiar with creating and implementing CAD standards, as well as managing standard detail and block libraries.
- Experience with dynamic block creation
- LISP experience a plus
▪ Photoshop experience a plus
▪ Travel may be required to perform site visits and complete A&E checklists.
