KGI Utility Solutions combines municipal utility experience, licensed engineering resources, and scalable field execution to support construction, reliability, storm restoration, and grid-hardening programs across Texas.
KGI Wireless, Inc. (KGI) today announced the formation of KGI Utility Solutions LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of KGI Wireless, Inc. The new company was established to capitalize on growing opportunities within the power utility industry and to support KGI’s strategic diversification beyond its traditional telecommunications services business.
As part of the launch, KGI Utility Solutions has hired industry veteran Chris White to lead field operations. Chris brings extensive experience in utility infrastructure and operations and will play a key role in building the company’s capabilities and supporting future growth.

Chris brings more than 18 years of both large and small MOU electric utility experience to KGI Utility Solutions. As a U.S. Department of Labor Certified Journeyman Lineman, Chris has held key roles in utility construction, maintenance, system operations, outage restoration, voltage regulation, emergency response, mutual aid support in Florida and Oklahoma, and was a key contributor during Winter Storm Uri.
As the field operations leader of KGI Utility Solutions LLC, Chris is focused on building a safety-driven, customer-focused organization that delivers high-quality electric distribution construction, maintenance, and storm restoration services to utilities across South Central Texas.
